As a classic hotel bar where adults gather, the Main Bar Brillant has been loved by many guests since its opening. It was relocated from the Main Tower to the South Tower in 1980, and the industrial designer Riki Watanabe, who is said to have laid the foundation for Japanese modern design, created a calm and elegant atmosphere that exudes a sense of weight and dignity.
One of the most striking features of the bar is the wall made entirely of red clay bricks, stacked one on top of the other. These traditional unglazed bricks were transported all the way from Scotland, the birthplace of whiskey, and are often referred to as the “smiling bricks”. The high ceiling, inspired by the night sky, the soft and warm texture of the bricks that gently envelop the entire bar, and the original high-back chairs that provide just the right amount of privacy and comfort, all come together to create a space that will make your bar time a truly exquisite experience.
