043 VOL.43 Auspicious “Husband and Wife Pillars” In Banquet Room, Hana

2019.5.31 Fri.

The "Hana" Banquet Room on the 4th floor of the main Main Tower is a popular Banquet Room with its soft light pouring in from a chandelier shaped like a large flower and its calm, elegant atmosphere that complements both Japanese and Western attire. Did you know that this "Hana" room, which has been a favorite since the hotel opened, has had pillars known as the "Married Couple Pillars" for some time now?

It's unusual to have a pillar inside Banquet Room and as it has been used for numerous wedding receptions, its firm support in the center of the hall has come to be seen as a metaphor for the bride and groom supporting each other throughout their lives. As a result, it has become affectionately known as the "Married Couple Pillar" among the staff. In the 2003 renovation, LEDs were embedded in this pillar to emphasize it as an accent in the interior, and now it has become a popular and auspicious story among customers, sometimes even becoming one of the deciding factors when choosing a venue.

These days, many couples prioritize hospitality for their guests, and an increasing number of couples are considering whether their wedding reception venue has the functionality and image to express their own unique style. The charm of the "Flower Room" lies in its ability to be used as a focal point for hospitality, with the venue divided by an iron fence, allowing for various arrangements such as serving welcome drinks or creating a relaxing space with sofas, all tailored to the bride and groom's wishes. This lucky pillar has watched over the joy of the couple and their guests on their special day for a long time.
