Known for producing many winners in domestic and international competitions and boasting a team of outstanding bartenders who lead the industry, Keio Plaza Hotel Hotel also leads the industry in developing original cocktails that expand the enjoyment of alcoholic beverages.
In 2004, under the leadership of legendary bartender Kazuya Watanabe, the hotel was one of the first to begin developing and popularizing "non-alcoholic cocktails," a pioneering effort that is well known. And now, recognizing the growing popularity of light-tasting, easy-to-drink low-alcohol beverages, they have developed "Smart Cocktails," with an alcohol content of less than 3%. Led by Katsumasa Suzuki, who won the Grand Prix at the 1996 HBA Creative Cocktail Competition, a team of 24 hotel bartenders collaborated to create nine original and elegant recipes. These have been available in the hotel's bars, lounges, and select restaurants since 2018.
