From the brighter corridor lighting than the standard floors, to the carefully chosen color scheme of the corridor carpets that make it easier to distinguish between the rooms and the main dining area, to the raised room numbers with smooth, rounded edges that feel pleasant to the touch... the 30th floor of Keio Plaza Hotel Main Tower 's main building, which offers 13 universal rooms, is filled with meticulous attention to detail to support a safe and comfortable stay for guests with visual impairments, white cane users, and guide dog users.

The door chimes and card key sensors at the guest room entrances are black to create a striking contrast with the white walls. The in-room control panels and telephones feature inverted black and white color schemes and large font sizes for improved readability. Furthermore, a voice guidance system using signal aids (small transceivers) provides voice directions to guest rooms and elevator lobbies. In addition, the bath amenity bottles, which were previously difficult to distinguish due to their identical packaging, now have different numbers of rubber bands: two for shampoo, one for conditioner, and none for body soap. This idea originated in 1995 from a small observation by a guest room staff member and is one of the unique initiatives of Keio Plaza Hotel.

Along with these innovative facilities, what we value most is the support provided by human voices.
First, our staff address guests as "customers," and then we provide attentive guidance to ensure they feel comfortable and at ease.
At the "50th Anniversary Ceremony of the Japan Guide Dog Association," held in 2017, we welcomed 180 guide dogs and 182 users, with approximately half of the guests also enjoying an overnight stay. From the hotel entrance to the entrance Banquet Room on the 5th floor, 29 staff members lined up along the route, providing continuous guidance. The words of our guests, such as "We were able to enjoy the banquet itself without feeling any anxiety about getting around," were the greatest reward for us.
