In 1971, Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo opened as Japan’s first skyscraper hotel in the Nishi-Shinjuku area, which was just beginning to be redeveloped. The hotel’s grand opening was met with great surprise and excitement, and it played a pioneering role in bringing life and energy to a brand-new part of the city.
Since its inception, Keio Plaza Hotel has embraced the “Plaza Ideology,” positioning the hotel as a gathering place for people to come together, relax, and experience culture and art.
