As you walk through the Cordor restaurant on2F of Main Tower, you will see a beautiful white porcelain vase in front of the kaiseki restaurant, Soujuan. This vase is the work of Manji Inoue, a Living National Treasure known as a leading figure in "white porcelain," the origin of Arita ware, and who continues to pursue the aesthetic beauty of "ultimate white." Mr. Inoue has a deep connection with the hotel. Starting with his participation as an artist in the popular ceramics event "Arita-Imari Ceramics Summer Festival," which has been held since 1981, he contributed an original work to commemorate Keio Plaza Hotel Keio Plaza Hotel for many years.
In addition to Soujuan, one of Mr. Inoue's white porcelain vases is also displayed at Gokokutei, the Korean dining restaurant on2F of South Tower. You may also encounter Mr. Inoue Manji's tableware while dining at Soujuan or Gokokutei. His refined and dignified style, while also exuding warmth, is very popular with our customers.
