Bartender competitions are held to showcase the creativity and skill of bartenders as they craft original cocktails. Keio Plaza Hotel bartenders have won numerous accolades in these competitions, not only in Japan but also on the world stage.
International competitions test not only bartending skills and creativity but also improvisation and communication abilities. It is no easy feat to stand out among the world's top bartenders. In recent years, a presentation format has become popular, where competitors wear headset microphones and explain their cocktail creation process to the audience.
Since 2017, Keio Plaza Hotel has adopted this format in our in-house “Cocktail Award” competition, giving bartenders the opportunity to present their creations in front of 300 guests, preparing them for future global competitions.
The legacy of Keio Plaza Hotel bartenders continues to expand onto the world stage, inspiring and being passed down to the younger generation of bartenders.
