Story

“...Alright, the rewrite is complete!”

The article rewritten with a mysterious typewriter is said to overwrite the memories of those who read it. Such journalists who rewrite already published articles and overwrite memories are called “Trick Journalists”.

I am a reporter from the OKEI editorial department, working as a Trick Journalist. There are many articles circulating in the world that may or may not be true, and my job is to research these articles and rewrite the falsehoods into truths.

One day, I was visiting Keio Plaza Hotel, which is close to our editorial department and is known as a “treasure trove of scoops,” for an article research. Just as I was about to start my research, I received a call from the editor-in-chief.

“It seems there will be a scoop at the Keio Plaza Hotel where you are. Apparently, it’s full of topics that are currently trending. Please research the article and rewrite it if necessary.”

Excited by the prospect of a big scoop, I began preparing for my research.
