Mahoroba Tea Room, Sho-Fu-An, is nestled in a quiet corner of the city, away from the hustle and bustle of urban life.
Adorned with the spirit of “ichi-go ichi-e” (treasuring each moment), we invite you to experience a moment of traditional Japanese culture through the world of Wabi-cha (Japanese tea ceremony).

Japanese Tea Ceremony Experience

Duration: About 1 hour
Price: 5,000 JPY (includes a light tea snack, service charge, and tax)
*Guests staying in Premier Grand rooms can use this tea room for free.
Contents: This special program will include an explanation of the tea ceremony and a hands-on experience of how to make matcha. Enjoy a moment of connection with the spirit of the tea ceremony while tasting matcha and Japanese sweets.

Tea Ceremony with Hands-On Tea-Making Experience

Duration: About 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours
Price: 10,000 JPY (includes a bowl of thin matcha, Japanese sweets, service charge, and tax)
Contents: Following an explanation of the tea ceremony, you will have the opportunity to experience the art of making matcha yourself. Experience the spirit and aesthetic sense of the tea ceremony while enjoying a cup of Japanese sweets.
