We have 13 universal rooms (3 types).
Rental equipment and devices can be installed free of charge according to your needs. As there are limited quantities, please inform us at the time of reservation.

Universal Room

For Guests Requiring Wheelchairs

  • Entrance Door Width

    The guest room entrance doors are wide, and the card key sensor and newspaper slot are conveniently located.

  • Bathroom

    The width of the bathroom entrance door is 80 cm. In addition, a permanent ramp has been installed for the approach to the bathroom.

  • Bathtub

    In addition to having a transfer space of 30-40 cm in the bathtub, we also provide a non-slip mat for the bathtub, a transfer platform for the bathtub, bath clips (bathtub handrails), bath steps (footstools), bath boards, and shower chairs. (These can also be used in general guest rooms.)

  • Writing Desk

    We have provided space underneath the writing desk so that it can be used while seated in a wheelchair. Additionally, there are protrusions underneath the desk to assist wheelchair users in moving the chair more easily in all directions.

  • Electric Bed

    Electric beds (3 motors for ① back lift, ② knee lift, and ③ height adjustment) are available upon request. (One per room)

  • Power Outlet

    There is a power outlet next to the bed, which is convenient for charging the battery of an electric wheelchair.

  • Electric Reclining Armchair

    We can provide electric reclining armchairs with lift function. (One in each room)

  • Door Monitor

    We have installed door monitors in our guest rooms. When the camera-equipped doorbell rings, the monitor screen displays the visitor's face, allowing you to respond to guests while remaining in the comfort of your room.

  • Hanger Bar

    There are two hanging bars in the closet, and one can be installed at a lower position.

  • Refrigerator & Mini-bar Cabinet

    By installing them at a higher position than other guest rooms, even guests who use wheelchairs can use them with ease.

  • Tea Utensils & Pots

    We can set up the tea utensils stored in the mini-bar on your writing desk in advance. In addition to an electric kettle, we can also provide an electric hot water pot that dispenses hot water at the push of a button. (This service is also available in general guest rooms.)

  • Assistance Dog Bowl & Mat

    At Keio Plaza Hotel, we accept guide dogs, service dogs, and hearing dogs throughout the hotel. When staying with us, we will lend you a feeding bowl and mat for free (these can also be used in general guest rooms).

For Those Who Have Difficulty Hearing

  • Tablet Device Services

    ①UD Talk
    Instead of using a telephone, you can use a tablet device to communicate with the front desk by writing or text (can also be used in regular rooms).
    ②Automatic voice conversion system
    The tablet device features voice recognition and text exchange functions to support smoother communication between hotel staff and guests (can also be used in standard rooms).

  • Alert System

    1) When a visitor arrives (door chime), 2) when the guest room phone rings, 3) when there is an incoming call on a device (UD Talk, etc.), or 4) when an emergency occurs, text and pictograms will be displayed on the monitor, the room light (above the window) will flash, and a vibrating cushion will activate to notify guests. Monitors will be installed on the nightstand and in the bathroom.

  • Assistance Dog Bowl & Mat

    At Keio Plaza Hotel, we accept guide dogs, service dogs, and hearing dogs throughout the hotel. When staying with us, we will lend you a feeding bowl and mat for free (these can also be used in general guest rooms).

For Guests with Low Vision

  • Audio Signage Guide System
    (Main Tower, 30th Floor Elevator Hall only)

    Our Signal Aid (small-sized transmitter and receiver) will respond to your device and provide audio guidance towards the direction of the guest rooms and elevator hall. For guests who do not have a Signal Aid, we can lend one to you at the front desk during check-in. It supports both Japanese and English.

  • Call Button

    Two call buttons are installed in the bathroom (next to the toilet and under the bathtub). If you are not feeling well or in case of an emergency, please press the button and our staff will come to assist you promptly.

  • Lighting & Electric Curtain Switch

    In addition to text, we have included pictograms, and the switches for lighting and electric curtains are designed to be easily identifiable at a glance. The color scheme is inverted black and white to accommodate guests with low vision.

  • Main Tower 30th Floor Corridor Lighting

    The lighting in our Club Floor corridors is set to be brighter than that of the general guest room floors.

  • Main Tower 30th Floor Corridor Carpet

    To assist guests with low vision, we have carefully designed the color scheme of the carpets in the hallways and elevator lobbies, creating a distinct contrast between light and dark shades to clearly define the boundary between the hallways and guest rooms.

  • Room Number Plate

    The design is an embossed pattern that is safe to touch.

  • Door chime, card key sensor, etc.

  • Unlock Button

    When leaving your room, please press the button located next to the door to unlock it.

  • Guest Room Telephone

    The colors of the room’s telephone are designed in a black and white reversed pattern, making the characters easier to read.

  • Miniature bottles of toiletries
    Set the rubber band

    We will provide rubber bands with our shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. We also have pump-type bath amenities available (for use in general guest rooms as well).

  • Ostomate-Compatible Toilet

    The separate toilet in the Junior Suite Room (universal design) is equipped with a hand shower for cleaning the stoma. If you would like one, please let us know when making your reservation.

In-house space facilities

  • Universal Design Toilet

    There are barrier-free toilets on the 2F of the Main Tower (Ostomate-friendly, with a portable bed for adults), 5F of the Main Tower, and 4F of the South Tower.

  • Parking Area

    Wheelchair accessible parking is located on the B1 floor of the South Tower, lot numbers 601 and 602 (total of 4 spaces).
    We also recommend using Main Tower 2F and South Tower Building B1F and 2F, as there are no stairs between the parking lot and the elevator hall.
    *There are stairs on the 1st and B1 floors Main Tower and on the 1st floor South Tower.
