Japanese Culture Experience
We have prepared a variety of activity programs where you can learn about and experience Japanese culture.

Calico Dye
This pattern originated in India and is created by using multiple stencils to apply different colors in layers.

Making of Folding Screens
Enjoy a taste of traditional Japanese craftsmanship with our original, tabletop-sized folding screen.
Participants will glue together recycled paper and select their favorite design, such as “Wave Crest” or “Red Fuji”. This is an experience that is easy for anyone to participate in.
The completed folding screen can be taken home as a piece of tabletop decor to gently color your travel memories.
The texture of the Japanese paper, the time spent gluing the pieces together, and the joy of selecting a design - each folding screen is unique and will quietly continue to tell the story of your journey.
